Make Your Own Sterling Silver or Gold Plated Ring

Located at the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range, Lídia Bosch creates jewellery inspired by her Mallorcan heritage. Born and raised on the island, the jeweller invites you to her home studio in the picturesque village of Esporles where she will teach you the art of wax casting.

This workshop is for anyone who has ever wanted to create their own rings. Drawing from the Mediterranean imagery that surrounds you, Lídia holds a space to release your creative mind, using the medium of wax to carve, drip, and assemble a self-designed ring. To begin, Lídia will show you how to size yourself and get the perfect fit. Then it’s time to learn the technique, using a specialised heated pencil and carving spatula in order to guide the wax into your design of choice. You’ll have plenty of time to try out your ideas and Lídia is there to lend her knowledge and a helping hand whenever needed.

Once you’re happy with your piece, your teacher will take the rings to a local foundry where they will make a mould and fill it with 925 sterling silver. If you would like the ring to be coated in 18K gold instead, Lídia offers to plate the ring for an extra charge of 20€. Your work will be ready in 15 days for you to enjoy! Just let Lídia know if you would rather pick it up or have it shipped to you for an extra cost.
