From Blooms to Bouquets
with Aina Genovés
Transform flowers into living art with a modern edge. In the privacy of a quiet courtyard, under the canopy of a lemon tree, Aina Genovès invites you to join her for a unique floristry experience, teaching you to see flowers as colourful living mediums with boundless creative potential.
To start class, Aina introduces her “bouquet buffet” – a wide selection of seasonal flowers and foliage with varying colors, sizes and textures. To prepare, your teacher will show you how simple steps can make all the difference in bringing out the unique beauty in each flower. Delicately opening petals, gently massaging buds, trimming angled stems – watch as new colors and textures emerge.
Once you’ve prepared your blooms, it’s time to arrange your bouquet. For this step, Aina encourages students to view their compositions as an artist envisions a painting – considering the bouquet as a coherent work of art where spatial balance and visual rhythm comes together in harmony.
Letting experimental curiosity take the lead, Aina will help you assemble your flowers using a spiral technique, creating different levels, combining complementary colors, and contrasting textures, to produce a floral design unique to your aesthetic eye.
To finish the workshop, you’ll have the chance to style your bouquet for a photo shoot, capturing the beauty of your finished work against a backdrop of beautifully draped cloth – a personal detail Aina lovingly curates.
Ready to bring your work home, your teacher will share some tips for flower care, offering a guiding hand as you elegantly wrap your flower arrangement to enjoy yourself or gift to a loved one
