A Traditional Mallorcan Wooden Boat Experience Along the Northern Coast
With Alberto Vergés
A „llaüt“ is a classic wooden fishing boat from Mallorca, traditionally used across the Balearic Islands for fishing and short coastal transport. Today, these boats offer a simple and authentic way to experience the sea at a slower pace, close to their original form. During this 2 hours experience, you explore the coastline around Alcanada in a direct and unhurried way. The route leads to Alcanada, a quiet bay known for its lighthouse and clear water. From the sea, the northern coast appears varied and open, with pine-covered stretches, rocky edges, and wide views across the bay.
Departure times are flexible, so you can choose what fits your day best — a calm morning on the water or a later departure as the light softens towards sunset.
During the trip, we provide complimentary water, soft drinks, and beers, along with a carefully selected range of snacks such as crisps, hummus, and olives. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic and drinks on board as well, making it easy to turn the trip into a relaxed shared moment with friends or family.
We recommend bringing a towel, sunscreen, swimwear, sunglasses, and light clothing. If you prefer to use your own snorkelling equipment, feel free to bring it along, although snorkel gear is also available on board.
On board, Alberto — your local skipper — guides the journey in a relaxed and welcoming way, handling the boat while you enjoy your time on the water.

Heritage & Mediterranean Culture Four Hours Llaüt – Alcanada & Es Coll Baix Alberto Vergés
During 4 hours aboard a traditional Mallorcan llaüt, you explore two of the most striking calas in the north: Cala Alcanada and Cala Es Coll Baix. The route begins in Alcanada, a calm bay known for its lighthouse and open views, before continuing towards Es Coll Baix — a more remote and untouched place, framed by steep cliffs and clear turquoise water. Together, they show two very different sides of the northern coast, from open and accessible to hidden and wild.
